From 30.05.2022 to 03.06.2022, IFAT took place in Munich for the first time in 4 years. On Monday morning at 11 o’clock, the Jungo Group organised a large press event at its stand 417 in hall C5. The occasion was the world premiere of the Jungo 3.0, an all-electric street sweeper which, according to the manufacturer, not only maximises customer benefits with many new features, but is also designed and produced to leave the lowest CO2 footprint in the industry over its entire life cycle – in line with the company’s motto “For a cleaner and better world”.
Even though this is the first time the Jungo Group has launched a vehicle on the market itself, it is no stranger to success. Company founder Nicolas Jungo has been setting standards in the sweeper market as a designer for decades. For example, with the JungoJet 3500, which appeared in 2008 and is still being built today after the rights were sold by other companies.
Production takes place at the Laage site near Rostock in an industrial park that is powered 100% by CO2-neutral energy.
The Jungo 3.0 is not only a street sweeper but a fully electric multifunctional working machine. According to the manufacturer, more than 50 different applications will be available in the future, which can be changed within a few minutes and will also be available via a short-term rental system for less frequently needed applications.
One of the many innovations is the use of micro hydraulics. This eliminates the need for hydraulic interfaces to the attachments, which in turn benefits quick-change capability. In addition, no oil changes or lubrication are required during the lifetime of the machine.
Other innovations include the interchangeable battery system, which ensures 24/7 use; wheel hub motors, scalable energy from 15 to 60 kWh at any time; cloud connection / Industry 4.0 for predictive maintenance and much more.
Last but not least, the really appealing design should be mentioned.
